Mississippi-native, Brunson Green received his BA in Economics before exploring the world of filmmaking. After relocating to Austin, TX Green got his start in the props department, cleaning guns on the Bill Wittliff produced western TV series, “Ned Blessing.” In 1996, Green formed Harbinger Pictures focusing on developing a unique slate with the goal of finding stories that resonate. He produced the comedic feature FOOL’S GOLD, which played at Sundance, and THE JOURNEYMAN, distributed domestically by THINK Film. Green has also produced numerous shorts, including “Auto Motives,” starring James Cameron and Robert Downey, Jr, and the multi-award winning short film, “Chicken Party,” which marked his first collaboration with writer/director Tate Taylor and actress Octavia Spencer. Their next, PRETTY UGLY PEOPLE, played at numerous festivals and was theatrically released by Osiris Entertainment. THE HELP, their third project together, was nominated for Four Academy Awards®.
