CALEB DESCHANEL is a five-time Oscar nominee, recognized for his cinematography in The Right Stuff (1983), The Natural(1984), Fly Away Home (1996), The Patriot (2000) and The Passion of the Christ (2004). His other director of photography credits include The Black Stallion (1979), Being There (1979), Anna and the King (1999), National Treasure (2004), ,The Spiderwick Chronicles (2008) My Sister’s Keeper (2009). He has completed work on 3 films that will be released this year: Killer Joe, Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter and One Shot. Deschanel is also the director of the feature films The Escape Artist (1982) and Crusoe (1989), along with numerous short films, television episodes and hundreds of television commercials.
