Jack Hughes is founder and chairman of TopCoder, Inc., and is a pioneer and expert in the field of open innovation and its application to the discipline of software development. He is an authority on competitive collaboration in transparent enterprise systems amongst global virtual communities. Founded in 2001, TopCoder's mission has been to create mechanisms for learning, skills mastery and opportunity through online social and professional community. Central to the TopCoder model is a large community of highly skilled digitally creative individuals who embrace transparent competition and collaboration. Hughes holds and is co-author of a number of patents relating to software development methodology. Hughes is a serial entrepreneur in the field of software development. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Boston College.
