Theda caught the music bug early in life and realized the she wanted to be in the entertainment business. After graduating from Tufts University, Theda became the first black major market programmer at a country station and was nominated for Programmer of the Year Award by the Country Music Association. Leaving radio to move into print media, Theda worked at Billboard magazine where she wrote the influential “Hot 100 Singles Spotlight” column. Later Theda introduced Def Jam Recordings to the digital revolution, creating groundbreaking work including building the first sites for Jay-Z and Ludacris. As an aficionado of pop culture and technology, Theda has fused her interests to create unique content and go-to-market strategies for her consulting clients, which have included Microsoft, Phat Fashions, Warner Brothers, Community Connect and Capitol Records. Theda’s passions: Theda, a certified cellar master, avid photographer, mixed media artist and blogger, hosts weekly wine tasting events for the Austin Wine Tasters meetup group and is a member of the Austin Food Bloggers Association.
