That mind belongs to Chris Snell..." Mark Baumgarten, City Arts Magazine Mr. Snell born into a musical family and has been producing entertainment for over 15 years. Directly out of college (Whitworth) Chris was hired as the Auditions Administrator for the world’s 2nd largest opera company, The Lyric Opera of Chicago working under renowned Director Richard Pearlman (Produced the first fully-staged production of the Who's TOMMY starring Bette Middler). After Chicago, with an appetite for the entrepreneurial life, Chris was given the opportunity to start his own production and entertainment services company in California which produced hundreds of events annually as well as facilitating any variety of production, PR, ticketing, marketing and booking services for over 70 organizations and venues in the Southern California area. His company facilitated 1000's of events per year prior to relocating to Seattle. Upon arrival to Washington, Chris worked with One Reel for 2 of the largest music festivals in the Northwest, Summer Nights on South Lake Union and Bumbershoot before founding critically acclaimed Can Can Productions which has become one of Seattle’s largest independent production houses producing and presenting over 600 shows per year. Can Can Productions includes one of Seattle’s most celebrated night spots Can Can Kitchen and Cabaret (located in the historic Pike Place Market) which has received international media attention from the BBC, Steven Fry, Wall Street Journal, New York Times and won Seattle Weekly's prestigious Best of Show/Night/Performer in 2010. Additional credits include the discovery and development of household name Vince Mira (“the next Johnny Cash”) whose career was documented by major broadcasting networks such as Good Morning America, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Inside Edition and National Spanish media outlet Univision. He was also the Executive Producer of Vince Mira's Cash Cabin Session and self-titled CD along side Grammy Award winning Producer John Carter Cash (Jonny Cash's Son). Chris is also the creator, Emcee and Artistic Director of award winning performance troupe the Can Can Castaways as well as the founder of collaborative art incubator, FRED Wildlife Refuge. Most recently the man in pink was recently featured on the cover of City Arts Magazine's culture makers "Powerlist" edition.
