Caroline Waxler is the founder of Harkness Hall, a conference and digital strategy company based in NYC. She has organized live events for companies such as Google, Forbes, Internet Week, Autism Speaks, Brit& Co., and Conde Nast and is widely considered one of the leading authorities on digital media and live events. She was the managing editor of Business Insider, the Chief Content Officer of Learnvest (an Internet company providing financial advice to women), and the Director of Digital Content for Lucky Magazine. She has written for television, digital, and print media, including Good Morning America, the MTV Video Awards, VH1’s Best Week Ever, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times and Fortune magazine, and has written several books (some not in her name!), including a New York Times best seller about Bernie Madoff. Her investing book “Stocking Up On Sin” was chosen by Barron’s and Amazon as one of the top books of the year. In the aughts she occasionally made some people laugh as a comedy writer and standup comedian when she wasn’t appearing on TV talking about personal finance. After graduating from Episcopal, Caroline received a degree in Classics at the University of Pennsylvania, where she was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority, and also studied in Rome at the Intercollegiate Center for Classical Studies. She is a longtime board member of the Penn Club and on the Trustees Council Of Penn Women. Caroline lives in New York with her husband, Michael, an attorney, who makes her laugh a lot.
